I can’t believe it’s already the end of November! Where has the time gone so quickly?! Remember that new year resolution you compiled eleven months ago? Have you completed them all … especially your financial goals for this year? Financial goals, just like any other goals in life, if it’s worth doing, they’ll have their fair share of challenges. We need to focus on an action plan to get them done. Very often we let “life” get in our way and we lose our focus.
If real estate investing is part of your financial goal and you haven’t taken any action step to get there, what is it that is stopping you? You might be thinking what are the challenges that a first time investor might face? Perhaps lack of fund, lack of knowledge, lack of support, and perhaps the biggest of all, fear of losing money and not knowing what to do if it does happen!
In my earlier years of real estate investing, I was very blessed with a then-partner and later spouse who was and still is very supportive of me continuing my real estate investing dreams regardless if she knew anything about investing. Because of her infinite support for me whether we will succeed in real estate or not, I knew I would have nothing to fear or lose even if that meant we could be living out of our car! And it was because of her undying support, I was able to take on any challenges that interfered with our goal of financial freedom knowing the fact my wife will be with me all the way! But I know that’s not the case for everyone. Understanding that these challenges are part of the process in becoming a real estate investor, we have to focus on our action plan and meet these challenges when they come face to face with us.
As we all know, time is the most precious resource we have and it’s a non-renewable resource … when it’s gone, it’s gone forever. Don’t let any challenges get in your way of your goals and dreams whether it is financial independence or not. When we start our journey to achieving our goals and dreams early on, we won’t have to waste unnecessary time because as everyone knows, it takes time to getting what we want in life! Let’s not waste anymore of this precious resource …
