It’s been a wet spring thus far as we move into summer … hopefully, we’ll get more sunshine in the coming weeks and months!  But it’s not all gloomy and damp having the rain with us … the rain is actually great and essential for the grass, trees, and plants.  It helps them grow.  As with nature, planting seed is very important in real estate investing as well.  Whether you are investing passively or actively, it takes time to get the results.  And the rain is like the time we spend waiting for our seedlings aka our investments to grow. 

The sooner you start planting, the more time you will allow your investment to blossom.  A lot of people don’t see that when a large successful builder is developing a new subdivision, it took the builder/developer several years of acquiring and owning the land or longer.  We have to keep our focus on the long term when it comes to investing in real estate as well.  And if we become impatient, our seedlings may not be able to withstand the storms heading their way.  Remember, real estate investing is not a game and that we are in it for the long haul if we want to get the maximum return.  Patience is very important … patience is a virtue and one of the key elements for success (whether it is in real estate investing or in all other areas of life)!
