New year … New goals!

Happy New Year everyone! Let’s welcome 2016 with big smiles and even bigger hearts!
As we begin the new year, I’m sure many of us took some time out of our busy lives to reflect on what new year’s resolutions we have made for ourselves this year. Even if you haven’t done so, it’s not too late to start thinking about them now!
Every year I would ask myself, what are the greatest things I’ve accomplished and achieved last year and then use these to build on new ones for this year. I really do enjoy making short term and long term goals for myself and take responsibility to completing them (or at the very least, attempted to tackle some of them) by the end of the year! By doing this, I hold myself accountable for what I promise to myself, my family, and of course, my goals. From these short term and long term goals that I set out at the beginning of the year, I can plan out on how to achieve them accordingly.
In most cases, things will happen along the way and some of these goals may get re-addressed or altered … and that is totally okay as long as I know what I truly want to achieve ultimately. So, having said that, my goals are NOT set in stone, but can vary in some degree and I believe yours should too. That way, you will not find working towards your goals as strict and difficult to follow when things happen – and trust me, they do!
All in all, whatever your goals you have set for yourself – take responsibility, take action, and make it happen! Wishing everyone an awesome and amazing new year!
